The Jeonju International Picture Book Fair (JIPF) is South Korea's leading picture book culture festival, communicating with the whole world through picture books, which have emerged as global content. It is a special festival where visitors can see the original illustrations of renowned Korean and international authors up close every year. Alongside Korean picture book authors, each year a guest of honor is invited, and the works of a world-class picture book author representing that country are introduced in depth. The 5th fair features the Taiwanese author 'Jimmy Liao' and the Korean author 'Kim Dongseong', and will be held at the Exhibition Hall of Hanguk Sori Munhwaui Jeondang from Friday, October 2 to Sunday, October 4, 2026, under the theme 'Picturing the Memories'. During the festival, beginning with the opening ceremony, there will be book exhibitions and lectures by Korean and international authors, a book market with the participation of publishers, and the Sijak-jakgajeon (Sijak Authors Exhibition), which nurtures emerging local authors. In addition, a variety of performances using books, experience programs, and a conference add to the richness of the festival.
