The 28th UN Peace Festival (UN Pyeonghwa Chukje) is a peace culture festival held for three days, from October 23 to 25, 2026, in and around Pyeonghwa Park in Nam-gu, Busan. Under the slogan ‘Open Memory, Open Future,’ the event is designed to remember the sacrifice and dedication of the UN participating nations in the war and to share the value of peace with citizens. Under the theme ‘Pieces Make Peace’ (peace completed when many pieces come together), it operates six theme zones, namely the Memory Zone, Participation Zone, Performance Zone, Connection Zone, Healing Food Zone and Future Zone, and presents a variety of exhibitions, cultural performances, world culture experiences and citizen participation programs. In particular, through a Peace Parade joined by citizens of different generations and nationalities, it conveys the meaning of harmony and communication and gives everyone a chance to feel and empathize with the value of peace first-hand. It is a citizen-participation festival that connects the memories of the past to today's peace, where different people come together as one and build a peaceful future together.
