Facts checked Oct 31, 2026 · 4 min read

This is what we read on the organisers' official site and the official ticket pages on 31 October 2026. We state only what those pages say, and we leave out what they do not.

Date and place (official)

The 21st Busan Fireworks Festival is on Saturday 7 November 2026. The official site lists the venues as Gwangalli Beach, Igidae and Dongbaekseom Island. The show is over the water by Gwangan Bridge; Busan city is the host.

The day's schedule (official timetable)

The official timetable runs as follows. The organisers say times may change.

  • 13:00–18:00: Fireworks Street (busking, chalk art, activity booths)
  • 16:00–16:10: Black Eagles air show by the Air Force aerobatic team
  • 18:00–18:50: Prologue (preview fireworks, messages from citizens)
  • 18:50–19:00: Opening ceremony
  • 19:00–19:15: International fireworks show (overseas guest: SUNNY from China)
  • 19:15–19:25: Intermission (system check)
  • 19:25–19:55: Busan multi-fireworks show (with the Niagara effect and 25-inch shells)
  • 19:55–20:00: Curtain-call fireworks

On the official ticket page the main show is 19:00–20:00 (one hour including a 10-minute intermission).

Paid seats (official ticket page)

Paid seating on the sand is sold through NOL Ticket (formerly Interpark):

  • R seat (table and chairs): 100,000 won
  • S seat (chair): 70,000 won
  • Sales period on the official site: 4 September 14:00 to 6 November 17:00. We could not confirm whether seats are still available, so check the ticket page before planning around it.
  • There is an English page on NOL World. It says "passport verification is required, so please have your passport ready."
  • Up to 4 tickets per person.
  • Gates open at 15:00. If you cannot reach your seat by 18:00, you are not admitted and not refunded.
  • Bookings made from 12 October are collected on site only (no delivery). The ticket page says someone else may collect with a copy of the buyer's ID and the booking confirmation.
  • The 10% Busan-citizen discount needs ID showing a Busan address, so treat it as not for visitors.

The official site also lists BNK Busan Bank branch counters (until the end of business on 5 November), but that is a Korean-language process. The hotel package stopped selling on 25 October.

Our general rules for foreign buyers are in How to buy concert tickets, which covers different tickets.

Road closures (official traffic notice)

The official traffic notice is published as an image. Its main points are below. It says closures will be applied flexibly according to traffic.

  • Gwangan Bridge: partial controls from Monday 2 to Sunday 8 November. On 7 November, the upper deck is fully closed 15:30–24:00 and the lower deck 18:30–24:00, in both directions between Haeundae and Nam-gu.
  • On the day, roads around the venue close in three stages:
  • From 10:00: Gwangan Haebyeon-ro (Eonyang 3-way to Mannam Plaza, 0.82 km)
  • From 14:00: Hwangnyeongsan-ro. From 16:00: Haebyeon-ro (Mannam Plaza to the crossing in front of Millak Park), the one-way back road behind it, Marine City 1-ro
  • From 17:00 (excluding public transport): the Haebyeon-ro extension, Gwangnam-ro (KBS 3-way to Millak Bridge, 3.3 km), Millak Subyeon-ro, Igidae Park-ro and others
  • From 18:00, Gwangnam-ro is fully closed to the 11 bus routes that use it. From 19:30, Gwangan-ro (Gwangan Station to the beach 3-way) and Namcheon Bada-ro (Geumnyeonsan Station to Eonyang 4-way) close too.
  • The notice recommends public transport, expecting heavy traffic.

Getting there (official "Location" page)

  • Gwangalli Beach: Line 2, Gwangan Station exit 3. By bus, routes 24, 27, 39, 131, Nam-gu 2 and Nam-gu 8 to the Igidae stops. The page says no parking is provided nearby.
  • Igidae: Line 2 to Kyungsung Univ.·Pukyong National Univ. Station, then change to a bus (38, 42, 49, 62, 83, 83-1 or 108, getting off at Gwangalli Beach).
  • Dongbaekseom: Line 2, Dongbaek Station exit 1.

From 18:00 the Gwangnam-ro buses stop, and from 19:30 the road outside Gwangan Station is closed. The official pages give no specific advice for the trip home after the show, so assume you should leave earlier rather than later.

What we could not confirm

  • Where the free viewing areas are, and how early to arrive to get a spot
  • Whether R and S seats are still available
  • Hotel prices and when rooms fill up

None of these appear on the official pages, so we have not written them here.
